Join us as we celebrate the 46th Symphony Above the Clouds!  


THINGS TO KNOW

  • Location: Memorial Park, Woodland Park, CO 80863.
  • Gates open at 5:00 PM.
  • Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. This is an OUTDOOR EVENT.
  • You are welcome to bring your own picnic.
  • You can park on any of the off streets around the Memorial Park area.
  • Parking is first come first serve.
  • Handicap parking available.
  • This is an OUTDOOR EVENT so make sure you bring jackets because it does cool off in the evenings when the sun goes down.
  • Food concessions are available at the concert if you choose not to bring your own.
  • To ensure a closer parking spot arrive no later than 6:00 pm.
  • This is a FREE concert but DONATIONS will gladly be accepted throughout the evening.

Symphony Above the Clouds Concert Cancelled – July 5, 2020

It is with heartache members of the UPSG announce the cancellation of this year’s Symphony Above the Clouds.

The Colorado Springs Philharmonic has postponed performances for the summer of 2020. The Guild plans to resume celebrating 40 years of Community Tradition next
July 5, 2021. Thank you for your continued support!

July 5th, 2020 Concert Update

In this year of incredible uncertainty, we on the board of the Ute Pass Symphony Guild want to assure you that we are doing our very best to make reasonable and responsible decisions regarding the Symphony Above the Clouds concert this year.

As you can imagine, it is extraordinarily difficult to predict what will happen. While the Middle School and both the City of Woodland Park and Teller County remain committed to the concert, as well as the many other summer events scheduled this year, everything depends on the decisions made by Governor Polis’ office. We understand that they also are making the best decisions possible based on limited and constantly changing information.

With all of that in mind, please be assured that we will go forward with Symphony Above the Clouds if it is at all reasonable and prudent to do so. You will notice a pledge form included in the fundraising information. We have included that option so that if you feel insecure about donating under such uncertain conditions, then you may pledge an amount. That amount would then be due by June 10. We have also decided to create a separate account and deposit all monies collected for this year’s concert into that account.  If the concert is not held this year because of the corona virus, then those funds will be held to use for next year’s concert and not used for any other purpose.

We so appreciate your understanding and support and have great hope that we will see everyone on July 5.

UTE PASS SYMPHONY GUILD CANCELS “SYMPHONY ABOVE THE CLOUDS” EVENT SCHEDULED FOR TODAY, JULY 5TH, IN WOODLAND PARK, COLORADO

Ute Pass Symphony Guild officials announced today that the “Symphony Above the Clouds” event scheduled to be held Thursday, July 5, at the Woodland Park Middle School, has been cancelled due to Safety Concerns for all participants.  The fireworks and canons had already been cancelled due to the fire ban, and with the expected lighting, rain, and temperatures for this evening the decision was made in the best interest of all involved. 

“We regret having to postpone this important celebration in our community,” Judy Drake, President of the UPSG said.  “We will be reaching out to our generous sponsors in the weeks ahead.”
